ST.KIZITO HOSPITAL AND AMICI PER L'AFRICA (APA)
MEETING 12TH DEC 2018
APA team arrived to the hospital at 9:15 am, a meeting started at 9:30 am by Dr. Dinno Azallin introduced himself as Founder and President of APA and also other five members accompanied with him from Italy who are Miss Sara Jane, Miss Biotti Irene, Mr. Giordano Giuseppe, Miss Lorena Cumia, Miss Anna Micauzzi and escorted by Miss Hila Kayungila.
Then St. Kizito hospital team provided an introduction which is led by Dr. Sr. Antusa Maria (Medical Officer Incharge), Mr. Dickson James (Hospital Health Secretary), Mr. Charles Maselema (Hospital Patron also working in dental unit), Sr. Mathilda Mponda (Hospital Matron) and Kephace Kissui (Hospital Accountant).
Dr. Dinno Azallin provided short profile details of APA which is acronym of Amici Per L'Africa which means Friends for Africa. APA involves Dentist and Dental professionals only. APA is working very close with CUAMM in Africa. Dr. Dinno Azallin sited example of the Project working with CUAMM is strengthening the dental unit Tosamaganga Hospital, Tanzania.
Dr. Dinno Azallin explained through last visit from APA volunteers at St. Kizito Hospital and had a meeting with Hospital management found that there is a need to have a project of strengthening dental Unit. Therefore APA already started the process of initiating the project and so far APA already found a donor who will provide fund to purchase a complete dental chair from Anudha Limited (Tanzania) which expecting to cost $10,000.
